DRW Thermal Cutting
Bag Making Machine

Micro-computer controlled bag maker for BOPP, OPP and PE film — sock bags, towel bags, bread bags and ornament bags with photocell registration and auto counting.

Product overview

Thermal-cut bags,
sealed firm and flat

The DRW series is a thermal cutting bag making machine for printed and non-printed plastic films such as BOPP, OPP and PE. It is the ideal equipment for making sock bags, towel bags, bread bags and ornament bags — flat bags that need a clean heat-sealed edge and consistent length.

A micro-computer controls the whole cycle and a stepper motor draws the material precisely (a servo motor control system can be selected for higher demands). The machine cuts fixed lengths randomly with step-length photocell tracking that is accurate and steady — and if the aimed printed label is lost, the machine stops automatically to protect the run.

The DRW also includes a device for fixing double-sided sticky tape automatically, an auto-puncher for hanger holes, and an auto-counter. The lace is sealed thermally at a regulated temperature so every bag comes out firm and flat, ready for packing.

Five models cover bag widths from 10–550 mm up to 10–950 mm, all with 50–990 mm bag length, 0.01–0.10 mm film thickness and 40–180 bags per minute production speed.

Working principle

How the DRW series
makes a bag

From film roll to finished bag in one continuous cycle — draw, register, seal, cut, finish and count.

Step 01 — Unwind & draw

Feed the film precisely

The film roll unwinds and a stepper motor draws the material in exact steps. For printed film, step-length photocell tracking reads each label; for non-printed film, a fixed length is set on the micro-computer.

Step 02 — Register

Stop automatically if a label is lost

The photocell tracks the aimed label steadily. If the label is missing or misaligned, the machine stops automatically so no waste enters the sealing station.

Step 03 — Seal & cut

Thermal cutting at regulated temperature

A heated blade seals the lace thermally and cuts the bag in one action. Temperature is regulated for the film grade, so the seal is firm and flat without scorching BOPP, OPP or PE.

Step 04 — Finish

Tape, punch and count

An automatic device fixes double-sided sticky tape where the bag needs a closure, an auto-puncher makes hanger holes, and the auto-counter records every finished bag.

Step 05 — Output

40–180 bags per minute

Finished bags drop to the output table, sealed, punched and counted — ready for packing, at speeds from 40 to 180 bags per minute depending on bag size and film.

Typical products

Where DRW bags are used

Sock bags, towel bags, bread bags and ornament/gift bags — clear or printed flat bags with a firm heat seal, widely used in retail and food packaging.

Price & quotation

Price on request — factory-direct

Every DRW Thermal Cutting Bag Making Machine is built to your configuration, so the final price depends on the options you choose. The main price drivers are:

  • Machine width and output — wider and faster configurations cost more.
  • Layer, color or sealing-lane count.
  • Automation level — servo drives, automatic features and PLC control.
  • Certification and market adaptation — CE, EAC, 220V/60Hz or 380V/50Hz.
  • Shipping terms — FOB Ningbo/Shanghai, CIF or door-to-door, plus installation and training.

Frequently asked
questions

How much does this machine cost?

Factory-direct pricing depends on your configuration — width, output, layer or color count and automation level. Send us your target specs and we confirm an exact price within one business day.

What affects the price of this machine?

The main price drivers are machine size and output, number of layers or colors, servo versus stepper drives, automation features, certifications (CE/EAC), voltage adaptation, and shipping and installation terms.

What materials can the DRW bag making machine process?

The DRW series thermally cuts and seals printed and non-printed plastic films such as BOPP, OPP and PE, with film thickness from 0.01 to 0.10 mm.

Which bag types can this machine make?

It is ideal for sock bags, towel bags, bread bags and ornament/gift bags. It also fits other thermal-cut flat bags within the width and length range of the selected model.

What are the available models and speeds?

Five models cover bag widths from 10–550 mm (DRW-600) up to 10–950 mm (DRW-1000), all with 50–990 mm bag length and 40–180 bags per minute speed.

How does the machine track printed labels?

A step-length photocell tracks printed labels accurately and steadily; if the aimed label is lost, the machine stops automatically to prevent waste.

Is a servo motor available?

Yes. The standard draw uses a micro-computer controlled stepper motor; a servo motor control system can be selected for higher precision and speed.

Is the DRW machine CE certified and supported?

Yes. E-SHION machinery is assessed to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, and every line includes installation, training and 24/7 technical support.
