What is a flexo printing machine?

A flexo press transfers ink from a flexible plate onto the substrate between an anilox roller and an impression roller. Stack-type presses arrange the color units vertically — compact, cost-effective and well suited to film and paper converting.

Stack vs CI:
what it means for your line

E-SHION flexo presses use a stack layout — colour units are stacked vertically around the frame, which keeps the machine compact and setup straightforward for film and paper converting. CI (central-impression) presses print all colours around one drum; they suit very high-speed, tension-sensitive work but take up more space and cost more.

How many colours do you need?

For a new bag plant, a 4-colour press (YTL 41000) covers most logo and simple design work at 10–70 m/min. Six colours (YTB-A 61000) add spot colours, double-side printing and higher throughput up to 120 m/min for high-volume orders.

Corona treatment before printing

Film surfaces like PE and OPP have low surface energy — ink can peel off if the film is not corona-treated before printing. Confirm your line configuration with our engineers so the treater and press are matched to your film recipe.

Flexo vs gravure — which do I need?

Flexo suits shorter runs, flexible packaging and quick changeover; gravure suits long, high-volume runs with the highest color consistency. Many converters run both.

Stack vs CI vs inline?

Stack presses are compact and cost-effective for film and paper; CI presses give the best register for extensible film; inline presses combine printing with other converting steps.

What materials can it print?

Paper, PE/PP film, non-woven and woven PP, with surface treatment where needed.

Can it integrate with bag making?

Yes — flexo can run in line with bag making machines so printed bags are finished in one pass.

What speed can I expect?
